So over the last couple of years, there’s been quite a bit of (good) buzz related to “wipes”….in other words those decon/antimicrobial treated cloth-like wipes that are designed to be used to minimize or reduce the risk of cancer as well as related exposures to Firefighters.& Fire Department EMT’s. Some wipes are designed to be used “on” things and others are used on “us” but all are intended to wipe away some of the bad stuff.
In our Fire-EMS world, it makes pretty good sense that anytime we can remove stuff that came from a run or a scene, from us, or our equipment, that’s probably a good thing. On the other hand, there seems to be little known about wipes – and because of that, there is an interest from the research world to learn YOUR thoughts and opinions about wipes.
So, if you can, please wipe (sorry) a few minutes from your schedule to provide your thoughts about wipes to some research people who get all giddy about data and related stuff.
FIREFIGHTERS & FIRE-EMT’s…PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR “WIPES” INPUT HERE:
