APPARATUS ROLLS OVER RESPONDING, TAKES OUT POWER POLE – NORTH CAROLINA

BURLINGTON, N.C. — A Burlington Fire Department truck was involved in an accident Sunday afternoon while traveling to the scene of an emergency. The department says the truck flipped onto its side at 3:10 p.m. near NC 62.

The crew on board were taken to a hospital where they were cleared of injuries.

As a result of the accident, the area around Sharpe Road between Ross Street and NC 62 experienced a power outage. Duke Energy crews are working to restore power.

The Burlington Police Department is investigating the cause of the accident. No other cars were involved.
