All,
Here’s an update from UL-FSRI’s Fire Safety Academy,
Beginning TODAY Tuesday, October 6, Advanced Problem Solving (APS) will become the first training platform to integrate with UL’s FSA, making it easier for fire departments to access, assign, complete, and track FSA training within the systems they already use. Additional training platform integrations are in active development and will be announced as they become available. https://training.fsri.org/
- All 35+ free, evidence-based FSA courses will be available through Advanced Problem Solving. Additional platform integrations are in active development.
- This capability allows firefighters to complete assigned FSA training and receive credit through Advance Problem Solving’s platform.
- Training officers and instructors can assign FSA courses and manage training records in the same system.
This enhancement has been frequently requested by the fire service and represents an important step toward making evidence-based training more accessible and easier to incorporate into everyday training programs.
BOTTOM LINE: Users of APS FIRE can now access all of ULRI’s Fire Safety Academy courses, making it easier to explore, assign, complete, and track training all in one place

A Firefighter faces charges after being accused of driving under the influence while operating a responding fire apparatus in Smithfield, Virginia.
