Three firefighters suffered injury, with one of them being taken to a hospital, battling a house fire along Johnstown Road Friday morning.
Fire officials have yet to confirm how badly injured the hospitalized firefighter or the firefighters’ name.
The fire broke out just after 8:30 a.m. in the 4500 block of Johnstown Rd. in Jefferson Township. Fire crews evacuated the structure as gusting winds spread the fire through the home.
Jay reports the fire started between the garage and house.
There was no official confirmation of what started the fire. A fire official said the cause, however, might be electrical. One person living at the home reported hearing a “pop” just before the fire started.
