An Ashburn Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department ladder truck slid off Belmont Ridge Road in rainy conditions Tuesday morning.
Truck 606 went off the road at Belmont Ridge Road at Portsmouth Boulevard around 10:30 a.m., Loudoun County Fire Rescue spokesperson Annemarie Antignano said. No one was injured, but the truck was damaged.
The truck was responding to a fire alarm call when it happened. Command and safety officers responded to the crash.
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
Delays remained on Belmont Ridge Road as of 5:20 p.m. as multiple heavy wreckers and the HAZMAT Team worked to pull and extract the truck.
