KERNERSVILLE, N.C. (WGHP) — Three people were taken to the hospital after a fire truck crashed north of Kernersville on Tuesday, according to North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
After a crash on Piney Grove Road, near Warren Road, at 8:44 a.m., troopers and Piney Grove Fire Department responded to the scene.
According to troopers, the fire truck was heading north on Piney Grove Road with its lights and sirens on when it ran off the right side of the road at a curve. The fire truck overcorrected, overturned and came to a rest on the left side of the road.
