LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU) – Two firefighters are recovering from their injuries after a fire truck hit a semi-truck in LaGrange County.
The crash happened around 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, at the intersection of U.S. 20 and State Road 5.
According to investigators, a Shipshewana fire truck was heading south on State Road 5 with its emergency lights and siren on when it went through a red light and collided with an eastbound semi.
Police said the driver and passenger of the fire truck were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The semi driver was not hurt.
The LaGrange County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
