READING TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A firefighter is recovering after an injury he received while battling a house fire that displaced two families.
The fire occurred on East Berlin Road in Reading Township around 3 p.m. Friday.
The chief says the firefighter’s injuries were not caused by the fire but after the fire when a hose hit him.
Chief Lee Byers says, “One of the hoses came off a tanker that was coming back to the scene to dump water and a hose came off and struck the firefighter in the stomach and the leg.”
The firefighter was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
