As you are aware, Veteran FDNY Firefighter William “Billy” Moon tragically died in the Line of Duty after a 20-foot fall at Rescue 2 in Brooklyn on Dec. 12 which left him with a severe head injury that he couldn’t survive. Moon was an organ donor and his heart, lungs, liver, and kidneys went to five people including 2 FDNY Brother Firefighters.
In addition to the story about FF Moon, we are also attaching an article (below) about one Firefighter’s wife (herself a former FF) who was able to live…because of organ donation.
