SPRINGFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS (WWLP-7/30) – A fire truck and a car collided on the streets of Springfield. At 10am, 2-Springfield men were driving in the red Chevy when it flipped over on Oak and Union streets. The passenger, 24-year-old Raymond Clich, is still being treated at Baystate Medical Center’s emergency room. The driver 28-year-old Shawn Heffernan was treated and released. One firefighter suffered minor back injuries. The firefighters say the car was at fault. Witnesses disagree. Some witnesses blame the firefighters for causing the car crash.
