NAVI MUMBAI: A 32-year-old Fireman from Ambernath has died in the Line of Duty due to suffocation after a fire broke out at Modi Chemical Company in Taloja MIDC area on Friday late night. The deceased has been identified as Fireman Balu Deshmukh.
They received the fire call at 12.05am on Saturday. The fire fighters from Taloja MIDC, Kharghar and Ambernath had responded for fire fighting operation that continued for more than eight hours. Balu Deshmukh, the fireman attached to Anand Nagar MIDC fire station in Ambernath and he felt dizziness during fire-fighting. Fireman Deshmukh felt dizziness while combating fire. He was brought in the vehicle where he slept for a while and then starting vomiting. He was immediately taken to MGM Hospital in Kmaothe, however, he could not be saved.
