Guy who stole ambulance had his hands at “10 and 2” – Pennsylvania

There’s no disputing the fact that 43-year-old David Wilson, Sr. committed an extreme act of dumbassery by fleeing a Connellsville hospital in a stolen ambulance Sunday night after seeking mental health treatment (story from the Uniontown Herald Standard).

But give the perp some credit. In the dash cam video from this WPXI-TV story it appears that Wilson has his hands at 10 and 2 on the steering wheel as he’s making his way through traffic – with the lights on – in the stolen ambulance.

The judge has to take Wilson’s safe approach to driving a stolen vehicle into consideration when he sentences him on charges of theft of a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property, criminal mischief, drunken driving, recklessly endangering another person and five traffic violations, right?
