All,
We regret to pass on that a Firefighter was killed in the Line of Duty on Monday evening after the fire apparatus went off the road and crashed.
It was a one-vehicle crash involving that rig around 2100 hours. The rig was carrying two Raft River Fire District Firefighters and had crashed off the side of the road, injuring both.
The Firefighters were airlifted to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, where one died in the Line of Duty from his injuries. The other is still hospitalized.
It is not yet clear what caused the crash, and neither Raft River Firefighter has been identified.
More to follow. Our condolences to all of those affected. Rest in peace.
Take care. Be careful. Pass it on.
