SMITHFIELD, Va. (WAVY) — A firefighter was taken to the hospital following a fire truck overturning Monday night in Smithfield.
According to the Smithfield Volunteer Fire Department, the single-vehicle crash happened around 11 p.m. while crews were responding to a reported structure fire.
Firefighters said the driver was transported to a local hospital out of precaution.
