EMS: What if You Could Go to the Hospital…at Home?

As so much of our nation’s healthcare system is in trouble, the diverse failures continue to force fire based EMS to be the only reliable service most of the public has. But once fire-EMS has the patient-what do they do with them? In some areas, EMS wait times at the hospital are beyond belief. Additionally, the behavioral health impact on EMS personnel (many genuinely trying to do a good job but being forced to “manage” system failures) is very evident.
