A Cicero Firefighter suffered burns after falling through the floor into the basement around 0545 hours this morning. Several Firefighters were entering the first floor of the home Friday morning when the floor collapsed and the Firefighter fell into the basement, where the fire had started.
The other Firefighters pulled the Firefighter up and out of the home. Paramedics took him to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood (where Chicago Firefighter Plummer is being treated).
Cicero Firefighter Pat Phillips suffered first-degree burns to his back and chest, and second-degree burns to his neck and also had minor burns to his face and wrists. 2 other Firefighters were treated for minor burns from the rescue, he said. No other injuries were reported.
