Responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on the interstate. While clearing up from that accident, we pulled up on another wreck. We pulled up and provided a secondary block for the primary engine company on scene. Prior to getting out of the truck, we looked in the mirrors and noticed vehicles coming at a high rate of speed. We then noticed a vehicle driving fast and it hit the rear of our apparatus.
Lessons Learned: Check your mirrors and behind you prior to getting out of the truck! No fire service injuries.
