Crews were dispatched around 8 am this morning for a vehicle accident on Interstate 65. Just after stopping at the 81 mile marker southbound to check on a vehicle off the roadway, our apparatus was struck by a spinning passenger car in the rear corner and again near the front door of the cab. Most importantly, all of our firefighters,along with the driver of the car were uninjured. This was a very close call as our crew was preparing to exit the truck when it was hit. Please slow down and drive for the conditions, watch out for emergency vehicles. Thanks to everyone who reached out to check on our firefighters!
