A highway collision sent an ambulance crew to the hospital Monday night. It happened on Highway 180 between Highways 41 and 168 in Fresno.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the ambulance was responding to an earlier hit-and-run accident on the highway.
Sergeant Cindy Pontes said, "As the ambulance was arriving on-scene to help the injured parties, they unfortunately lane changed a truck that was in the number one lane and unfortunately that truck was not able to slow and collided with the ambulance."
The driver of the truck was not seriously injured. The ambulance crew was taken to the hospital for treatment.
