Loxley, Ala. – The accident happened on Highway 59. The EMS responders are okay, but the driver of the truck was killed. Loxley Police said the victim, Eddie White ran a stop sign at the intersection of highway 59 and country road 68. That’s when the ambulance hit him.
White’s sister, Diane Fields still can’t believe he’s gone. She said, "He was jolly, happy, always the life of the party, loved to dance."
Family members want to know if White really did run the stop sign and whether the ambulance had it’s lights on. Medstar the company that owns the ambulances said the sirens and lighters were on. They wouldn’t comment further. The Loxley Police are investigating the crash.
