A California woman was arrested Friday for allegedly disrupting a Greyhound bus schedule and assaulting emergency responders.
According to a police affidavit, officers were called about a belligerent passenger on a Greyhound bus on Interstate 15. Responding officers detained Carol Jean Tomanini, of Santa Ana, California, and she began screaming obscenities, according to the affidavit.
Medical personnel arrived to assess her condition, and she allegedly began kicking, striking a paramedic and nearly striking an officer. She reportedly had a bottle in her purse containing vodka. Tomanini was transported to Timpanogos Hospital in Orem, where she continued to fight with medical personnel and kicked an officer.
She was arrested on suspicion of assault by a prisoner, assault on EMS and public intoxication.
