USFW FIRE LODD, Additional 9/11 Resources for Firefighters (The Secret List)

All,

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Department of the Interior are advising that a Federal Wildlife Officer, David Taylor, 38, of Scio, Oregon, is believed to have died in the Line of Duty on Aug. 29 while helping evacuate residents threatened by the Railroad South Fire in Comanche County, Oklahoma. Taylor was supporting the wildfire response by going door to door to help residents evacuate alongside local emergency crews as the fire threatened the community. His last contact with dispatch came while he was assisting a family to leave their home. Evidence recovered from a structure where Taylor was working to help a resident escape indicates that he died during the evacuation effort. Formal identification remains pending with the medical examiner.
Our condolences to all those affected. Rest In Peace.
*****ADDITIONAL 9/11 RESOURCES*****
As 9/11 approaches, we continue sharing various clips with the intent that Fire Officers watch these with their members and crews together so they gain more information and understanding of the murders, those who still suffer and what 9/11 did to our nation-and how it impacted Firefighters, EMS, Police and others directly involved.
These are some additional resources-all of the EXCELLENT-in addition to what we have sent previously.
SERVING SUGGESTION:

Gather the troops around the kitchen table, training room or whatever–put the phones away for just a few-and take time to ensure our younger Firefighters “get it”…these clips will help do that.
