Special services have started the recovery of the Firefighter killed in the Line of Duty in Germany last weekend. Sadly, his body is still within the debris inside the silo. The recovery is very difficult as there is significant danger of collapse and/or falling down of other concrete debris. Today, the special services (from a demolition company) are attempting to bore a hole in the wall of the silo from the outside….and they are doing it while working on a platform, hanging on a crane. The Firefighter who was killed in the Line of Duty was 24 years old and married about 2 months ago. 3 of the 4 critically injured FF’s are stable…and one of those was the Incident Commander. The 4th FF is being kept comatose by the doctors and remains in critical condition.
