All,
We regret to pass on that the Buckholts Volunteer Fire Department (SE of Temple, Texas) is mourning the loss of one of their Firefighters who died in the Line of Duty in a single vehicle crash while responding to a call yesterday.
Twenty-six-year-old Rick Joseph Fuentes was responding to that grass-fire call when the apparatus left the road and rolled over. He died yesterday, October 11, 2026.
Buckholts Volunteer FD announced that Fuentes had died in a social media post on Oct. 11.
Fuentes was also a local school teacher. Our condolences to all those affected. Rest in peace.
Take care. Be careful. Pass it on.
