Train services between the Jeppe and Johannesburg railway stations were delayed when an ambulance overturned onto the tracks after colliding with a bakkie, says Metrorail.
Spokesman Tony Games said on Wednesday the two people in the ambulance suffered minor injuries. No commuters were injured.
Games said a cable line was damaged in the crash. He said the normal schedule would be delayed by 20 minutes.
Metrorail’s technical team would ensure the cable was repaired in time for the afternoon peak.
Section managers were on the scene to ensure safe train movement between Jeppe and Johannesburg stations.
