An accident involving a fire truck sent three firefighters to the hospital.
The truck overturned near Hurricane Creek on South Sardis Road around 8 p.m. Monday night.
Saline County deputies say the fire truck was not on its way to a call, but actually on it’s way back to the station.
Fire Chief Daniel Hicks says no other cars were involved. He says, "Apparently their wheels dropped off the side of the road, they got turned back up onto the road and when it did, they lost traction."
The firefighters’ injuries are not life-threatening.
