On January 28, 2026, Timmy was placed on paid administrative leave by the Loveland Fire Rescue Authority Board, citing a “confidential personnel matter.” On February 9, 2026, the Board voted to advance a termination process after he declined to resign, stating that he had not been informed of the specific allegations against him.
Their board is scheduled to reconvene…Tomorrow, Monday, February 16, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. MST to further consider a formal letter of intent to terminate. (pls keep reading)

What makes this “jamming” of more interest to the broader fire service is that approximately 75% of LFRA personnel, along with the local firefighter union, have formally issued a Vote of No Confidence—not in the Fire Chief, but in the LFRA Board. At the same time, they have voiced strong and unified support for Timmy’s leadership. This level of support from the rank and file is rare, as anyone who has been in our business for any length of time understands. Additionally, the support he is receiving from the residential and business taxpaying community is beyond huge.
