Suicide Prevention Information Sheet for EMS Providers

Suicide
Prevention Resource Center (SPRC) has produced a new information sheet for
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) providers. This sheet provides basic
information to help EMS providers recognize and respond to people who may be
suicidal or at high risk for suicide. It also contains a list of relevant
resource materials and organizations. Extensive input and review from EMS
providers at the national and local levels were obtained in developing the
sheet. Readers are encouraged to share this sheet with colleagues. This sheet
is part of SPRC’s series of customized information sheets for professionals who
work in settings that bring them in contact with individuals at potential risk
for suicide.
