The Deputy Chief Raymond M. Downey 22 nd Annual Father’s Day “Forever Running” Memorial 5K Run/Walk and ¼ mile Kids Fun Run is coming up. It’s focus: to keep the memory of Chief Downey and all the victims of Sept. 11 th alive.
The 5k run will take place on June 18th 2023 at 9:30 am and Kids Fun Run at 9:00 at the Deer Park Fire Dept Training Center, 973 Nicholls Road Deer Park (Long Island, New York-just outside of NYC). Special awards, raffle prizes, carnival entertainment, and a family barbecue will follow the run.
All money raised will go to the D.C. Raymond M Downey Scholarship Charity Fund, the same fund that we have donated royalties from the 3 “Pass it On Books.” A very worthy cause.
