ORLANDO, Fla. — An Orlando Fire Department firefighter was injured while battling a fire overnight during Hurricane Milton.
According to the Orlando Fire Department, crews responded to a house fire on the 5100 block of Jeannine Court around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday. Crews saw the roof engulfed in flames when they arrived. Firefighters were able to put the fire out.
OFD said a firefighter was injured and transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center and is stable.
Two cats died in the fire.
There were no other injuries from the house fire.
OFD said the fire was caused by downed power lines.
