Newkirk Fire Department said one of their ambulances was involved in a multiple-vehicle crash somewhere along Highway 11 while returning from a hospital in Blackwell.
They said both of their firefighters/medics were taken to the hospital with injuries. Two more people involved in the crash were also taken to the hospital.
Highway 11 is closed due to the lack of visibility which Newkirk Fire said was the cause of the crash.
