We regret to pass on that Oklahoma City FD Major Andy Davis, 45, with Fire Station 10-C, a 20-year veteran of the department, succumbed to his hard-fought battle with COVID-19 Thursday afternoon-Christmas Eve. Davis was the son of retired Capt. Johnny Davis, brother of Deputy Chief Tony Davis and Major Scott Davis (4-A) and uncle of Cpl. A.J. Davis (6-C).
“Like his brothers, nephew and father, Andy loved the job and serving the residents of Oklahoma City. His jovial approach to life endeared him to all who knew him, and his work ethic was an example of excellence,” officials with the department said in a statement. Davis leaves behind his wife, Lisa, and their four children, McKenzie, Gracie, Gabe and Beau. Maj. Davis was the first City of Oklahoma City employee who died due to the virus. Our condolences to all those affected, Rest in peace.
