All,
An Ohio Fire Paramedic was taken to the hospital after being stabbed while preparing to transport a patient on Wednesday.
It happened around 1500 in Springfield, Ohio. Members responded for a patient who needed to be transported for a court-ordered mental health evaluation.
During that process, a Paramedic was stabbed in the back by the patient and suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Springfield police officers were called and the suspect was taken into custody. The FD Paramedic is in good condition and is expected to be released from the hospital, according to the city.
Thankfully, a close call but nothing worse, but also another reminder the risks of the job.
