A Newark NJ Firefighter suffered serious injuries after he fell from his apparatus while responding to an incident Monday night. The firefighter was sitting in the "bucket seat" (jumpseat) and tumbled into the street when the vehicle made a left turn just before 2200 hours last night. The FF was taken to University Hosptial, where he was treated for lacerations to his head and face and will have to wear a neck brace for the next two weeks since he may have suffered vertebrae damage during the fall.
