All,
We regret to pass on that in Buncombe County (Asheville area of North Carolina) a member of the Riceville Volunteer Fire Department lost their life in the Line of Duty during a training detail.
Members of the department were training in Montreat with an all-terrain vehicle, and there was a serious accident of some kind.
Despite the immediate response from fellow firefighters and emergency medical personnel, the Firefighter succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
Additionally other members of the department were taken away to receive medical treatment. Our condolences to all those affected. Rest in peace.
Take Care. Be Careful. Pass It On.
