3 Firefighters in Frederick County (Maryland) were struck by a motorcycle in a secondary crash this afternoon (1632 hours) while operating at a scene. 1 Firefighter was flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore-reported in stable condition and the other two Firefighters suffered NLT injuries.
Units were operating at an initial motorcycle crash when a 2nd motorcycle reportedly went around the apparatus causing the strike. This incident occurred on Stottlemyer Road in the Wolfsville area of Frederick County. Law enforcement is investigating. Frederick County is west of Baltimore/Washington, along I-70 and is the home of the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg.
