A former firefighter was killed after a fire broke out in his home Saturday evening.
Coxsackie Fire Chief Shawn Burdick said the fire was reported just after 7 p.m. at 53 Washington Ave.
The Greene County coroner identified the victim as Larry Connolly, 74.
Burdick said he was a lifetime member of the village’s fire department, the D.M. Hamilton Steamer company.
