Capt. Theo Adams was injured when the fire apparatus he was riding in overturned while responding to a call. The driver of the fire truck was later cited and fined for driving too fast for the circumstances.
Captain Adams was paralyzed from the neck down after the crash. He died in the Line of Duty on Tuesday night (May 1) at his home.
Our condolences to all those affected. Rest In Peace.
SPECIAL NOTE: A grim reminder that now would be a good time for Firefighters (volunteer, call or career) to look into their benefits and ask the question: If you are critically injured and disabled on the job, what benefits do you and your family receive-and for how long?
