The Kansas State Fire Marshal and the United States Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are on scene and while there is no sign of foul play involved with this fire, their team will be working to narrow down the cause of that fire. KTIYP’s.
Casey Skudin’s wake will be held at Towers Funeral Home in Oceanside on Thursday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. An FDNY ceremony will be conducted at Towers on Friday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., followed by an FDNY procession to All Souls Crematory in East Elmhurst, where a private service will continue at 2:30 p.m.
Skudin’s family, friends and FDNY colleagues will also honor the avid outdoorsman and surfer at 9 a.m. Sunday with a “paddle-out” off Lido Beach. A paddle-out is a floating memorial consisting of surfers, paddle boarders, kayakers and others who paddle out from the shore to offer words of remembrance about the deceased Casey.
