OTTUMWA, Iowa —
An Ottumwa firefighter is home recovering from injuries after battling a late night fire on Sunday.
It happened at a duplex on North Foster Avenue. Firefighters arrived to find heavy fire coming from the attached garage.
One person was safely removed from the basement level apartment.
One firefighter sustained minor injuries but has been released from the hospital.
