It is with regret that we advise you that earlier today 37 year old Firefighter Steve "Tiny" Kline, who was on duty in Stone Park (IL) suffered a heart attack in the fire station. Initial reports are that FF Klein got up from chair and dropped in cardiac arrest. SPFD FF’s immediately responded but their attempts to save his life were not successful. RIP.
And in North Carolina, a Goldsboro City, N.C. FF/EMT died on Friday, Nov. 14 at her home following a shift after suffering an apparent heart attack. Carol "Irene" Taylor, 41, responded to an electrical fire call early the morning and returned to the fire station at approximately 0800. Following her shift she returned home and was found deceased later that night. As always, our sincere condolences to all affected.
