We regret to pass on that Rutland-Dundee Fire Protection District Firefighter Greg Witt has died following a medical emergency that occurred during that scheduled training exercise on Wednesday, October 21.
Firefighter Witt joined the Rutland-Dundee Fire Protection District in January 2019. He was also a proud United States Marine, and he gave his life to serving both his country and his community.
Funeral arrangements have not been made. They will share information once the family has made those decisions and is ready to make them public.
