(01/23/05 – HOUSTON) A Houston firefighter is on the mend after suffering an injury, while fighting a fire in northeast Houston.
Fire crews arrived at a burning home Saturday evening on Record and Tremont.
Investigators say firefighters had just finished connecting a hose to a hydrant when a hose came off the hydrant and hit a firefighter on his right leg. No one else was hurt.
Police escorted the ambulance carrying the firefighter to the hospital. He’s expected to be OK, but the accident may have broken his leg. Firefighters managed to put out the blaze without any other problems, and no one else was hurt.
