There was a working fire yesterday in Millbourne (Delaware County near Philly) PA. Responding Darby Firefighters rescued a woman from that 2 alarm building fire Wednesday afternoon-working with their fire dispatchers. The fire was reported on 11 N Millbourne Avenue just after1400 yesterday (Wednesday).
First-arriving companies had fire showing from the first floor and smoke throughout with a resident trapped in an upper-floor apartment.
While the Firefighters did a phenomenal job, the Delaware County Fire Board Dispatchers deserve special attention, as they were in contact with the resident and helped lead firefighters to the woman.

The Delaware County Fire Board Dispatchers have had a stellar reputation for years. This isn’t the first time they’ve coordinated the rescue of people (and Firefighters) trapped-but it’s the latest where their professionalism and actions saved a life. A real outstanding example of how it’s supposed to work.
Take Care. Be Careful. Pass It On.
