We regret to pass on that the 24-year-old Maui County Firefighter who was swept into a storm drain and out to sea during flooding rains last week has died in the Line of Duty. Firefighter Tre Evans-Dumaran had been in the ICU at Maui Memorial Medical Center since the incident. FF Evans-Dumaran was operating on floors related details sucked into a storm drain and then carried by storm waters approximately 800 yards to where the drain emptied into the ocean. A GoFundMe has been established to help the family with expenses.

OREGON FIREFIGHTER CARDIAC ARREST IN QUARTERS
We regret to pass on that Gresham Firefighter Brandon Norbury went into cardiac arrest while on duty Friday and despite emergency medical attention, died in the Line of Duty shortly after.
Norbury joined the department in 2008. Prior to joining the department, he spent seven years with the Gresham Police Department. In addition to his time spent in the City of Gresham, Norbury served as a Navy Seal.

COLUMBUS OHIO FIRE LOSES 3 FIREFIGHTERS
Columbus (Ohio) IAFF Local 67 has lost 3 members in the past week. One of the losses was Battalion Chief Richard Richardson, 57, who died Wednesday following a battle with firefighting related pancreatic cancer.
Chief Richardson had two sons who followed in his footsteps and became firefighters. Matthew, 30, and Michael, 29, also both work for the Columbus Division of Fire. Richardson also has two daughters, Madeline and Megan, with his wife, Patricia.
The causes of the other Firefighter deaths have not been announced. The Local posted ” please look out for each other and take care of one another. If anyone you know needs help or just someone to talk to, be a good listener”
HOUSTON TEXAS FIREFIGHTER BURNED-FALL THRU ROOF
A firefighter was hospitalized after suffering burns during a fire in southeast Houston.
The fire started around 1030 hours today (Saturday) at an apartment complex just north of Hobby Airport. The Firefighter suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burn injuries while operating and fell through the roof. The Firefighter was taken to the hospital and is currently stable.
