We have new information on a crash that shut down part of US-131 in Grand Rapids Monday night.
The deputy fire chief says it’s the third time in less than a year that someone has hit a fire truck driven by his crew.
On Monday a semi jack-knifed trying to avoid slower traffic and hit the left side of the ladder truck.
Back in October a driver trying to pass slow traffic clipped that same truck.
In February a distracted driver hit the same crew in a borrowed truck from Walker.
The deputy chief says because of all the crashes he’s working with M-DOT to figure out different ways to let drivers know about accidents on that stretch of US-131.
