Today, the Family of Ray Myers and the Mishawaka (IN) Fire Department held a celebration of Life Memorial for Fire Fighter Ray Myers who we lost to cancer earlier this month. Ray was still actively employed by the city and assigned to Station 4 as a driver operator. Ray served the city for twenty three years.
He fought a courageous six year battle after being diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer at the age of 44.
As we all know cancer is no stranger to the fire service. In memory of Ray please follow up with routine screenings.
Wash that sh!t off your gear and yourself.
“Pretend” it’s like some nasty hazmat stuff that could kill you.
