An ambulance ended up on its side following a crash in Pittsburgh’s East Hills neighborhood.
The crash happened on Bennett Street at the intersection of Oakwood Street around 2 p.m. Monday.
Dispatchers tell Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 that one person was transported from the scene. There is no word on the severity of their injuries.
Pittsburgh police said four people were taken to the hospital. The ambulance driver, a female EMT, was extricated from the vehicle. She was transported in stable condition with injuries to her hand and pelvis.
Two other EMTs were able to exit the ambulance on their own and were taken to the hospital for evaluation.
The passenger in the other vehicle was also transported to the hospital by medics in stable condition. The driver was uninjured.
