Researchers from the Center for Fire, Rescue & EMS Health Research and Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation are looking for firefighters to help with a study about norms and traditions around alcohol use in the fire service.
With funding from a FEMA Research and Development grant, the researchers will be looking at how norms and traditions about alcohol impact firefighter alcohol use. They would like both career and volunteer firefighters and firefighters with all drinking practices (abstinent, moderate, heavy drinking) to provide feedback.
