An accident on I-80 Monday morning ended with a Webster, IA firefighter being sent to the hospital. When fire rescue crews responded one of the rescuers was hit by traffic in the area. He was taken by air ambulance to a Des Moines hospital with non-life threatening injures. The firefighter suffered two broken legs, a large head laceration, a C6 fracture – but all injuries have been described as non-life threatening.
